Nicole Kidman and I have something in common. Scratch that — we actually have a few things in common, like our love for all-things Vegamour, white sneakers, and the fact that we basically just wore the same thing on the airplane. Okay, Kidman did look slightly more put together than I did for my recent 6:00 a.m. flight from New York to Minnesota, but the common thread was a simple white tee. 

Kidman and her husband Keith Urban were photographed arriving at Sydney International Airport after what I’m assuming was a 15-hour plus flight from their other home in Hollywood. Both looked amazing, which is already headline-making on its own, because I feel like I look like a complete mess after I step off a measly three-hour flight. But it was Kidman’s outfit that really caught my attention. Jeans for a long-haul flight? Not for me, though her straight-leg option feels so on-trend. White sneakers? That’s totally my footwear move when I’m boarding the plane. But, the standout was a crisp white tee that looked so comfy yet so fashionable at the same time. 

The actress wore her crisp white top underneath a pastel yellow blazer for a chic-comfy travel look that I might just have to copy on my next trip, but the main takeaway is this: A white tee can and will, quite literally, travel the distances with you. Allow me to explain.

When you wear a white tee, you can rest assured that it’ll be a) comfy and b) versatile. So, if you’re like me, you might have to do a quick outfit change when you land at your destination, but if you’re wearing a white T-shirt, all you really need to do is swap your pants (if you’re wearing sweats, for example), throw on some lipstick, and you’ll look plane-to-lunch ready with very minimal effort.
